What are the art requirements for T shirt art?

Our T-shirts are printed in several different methods including spot colors and four color process. Ask your sales representative which method is best for your t-shirt. We prefer to use original, layered artwork and art that has not been converted to exported formats such as JPEG, GIF or PDF.
Acceptable Native File Formats:
Adobe Illustrator (through version CS3), Adobe Photoshop (through version CS3), Adobe InDesign (through version CS3), QuarkXPress (through version 6.5),
Macromedia Freehand (through version 10) and Corel Draw (through version 12)
Acceptable Exported File Formats:
Encapsulated Postscript (EPS), Tagged Image File Format (TIF)
Please Note: TIF files must be in CMYK mode. RGB files that are converted to CMYK may differ in color.

To avoid any problems we ask that you please:
Convert all fonts to outlines (or curves) for all vector file formats including EPS, Illustrator, Freehand and Corel.
Include all fonts and links for Quark documents and InDesign documents.

All spot color jobs are preferred in vector format. PMS colors must be specified for spot color jobs.
Art should be set up to size and to color separate accordingly. When possible, please include color separations.

All raster images must be saved at actual print size at a minimum of 150 dpi.

Maximum imprint area for front and back of shirt is 13 inches wide by 17 inches high.
Maximum imprint area for short sleeve is 3.5 inches wide by 2 inches high.
Maximum imprint area for long sleeve is 13 inches long x 4 inches wide.
Left chest images are usually no more than 4 inches wide.

What are the art requirements for Insert Card art?

All of our insert cards are printed in high quality, digital 4 color process on #100 text gloss paper stock. Ask your sales representative for other printing options. We prefer to use original, layered artwork and art that has not been converted to exported formats such as JPEG, GIF or PDF.

Adobe Illustrator (through version CS3), Adobe Photoshop (through version CS3), Adobe InDesign (through version CS3), QuarkXPress (through version 6.5), Macromedia Freehand (through version 10) and Corel Draw (through version 12)

Please include a 1/8” bleed for all art that prints to the edge of the insert. Please keep copy or text 1/4” away from the edge of the insert to avoid being cut off. All die line templates are available for download at www.addv.com in the shapes gallery. Please do not include the die line on flattened, raster images.

All insert art should be a minimum of 300 dpi.
